Meet Olivia!

Olivia Sasdi is a sophomore nursing student from Westborough, Massachusetts.

In Kappa Omega, Olivia holds the positions of Sisters for Soldiers Chair, and sophomore Standards representative.

As the Sisters for Soldiers Chair, Olivia hopes to help soldiers both deployed overseas and stationed in the United States, veterans and their families. She has big hopes and plans for this year, hoping to get a group of sisters together each month to volunteer at the local VA Hospital. She has already adopted a tea m of six soldiers stationed in Afghanistan and is planning on sending them care packages.

"I also am hoping to send thank you cards to as many soldiers at as many bases nationwide as possible," said Olivia.

In the position of sophomore Standards representative, Olivia is hoping to be the supportive backbone for her pledge class and all her sisters. "I hope to do everything I can to help them with any obstacles they might face," she said.

When asked how AOII has helped her, Olivie said, "AOII has helped me to grow into a more mature, open, caring, and loving individual. I have learned to help others and give back to the community more than I ever have before. It has allowed me to look at life in a more positive light."

Olivia's helpful nature is evident in and outside AOII. She volunteers with children living with Autism and Down Syndrome, and she "absolutely loves it".

"They inspire me so much and I wouldn't give my time back with them for anything in the world."

Naturally, if she were an AOII founder, she would be Helen, due to her strong will and determination, leadership skills, and scholastic achievements.

Keep exceeding the expectation, Olivia!
