Katie Hicks, our Vice President of Membership Recruitment, is a junior from Louisville, Kentucky majoring in elementary education.
In her position as VPMR, Katie hopes to "instill a sense of confidence within this chapter during recruitment. I want every girl to think they are as amazing as I think they are. And obviously I want to help these girls recruit some awesome women!"
Katie has been very hard at work planning for recruitment, and to relax, she likes to go to the mall or wind down with a white chocolate mocha- venti, of course. And if she were one of our wonderful founders, she would be Stella, for sure. When not with her sisters, she likes to spend time in elementary schools working with children!
When asked how AOII has helped Katie grow as a person, she said, "I am much more selfless than when I walked in on the first day. You realize when you join this chapter that not everything is about you, and your actions represent your entire chapter. I also feel much more humble, your sisters help you appreciate the good things that happen in your life and support you through the bad days."
Katie's dedication to Kappa Omega is evident in all her hard work in all that she is doing for recruitment this summer.
"My sisters and this chapter have never let me down, I know I have over 200 sisters that have my back through thick and thin. That is what I was looking for in a sorority and that’s what I received in Alpha Omicron Pi. "
