Why AOII?

When I decided to go through sorority recruitment, I wasn't sure I wanted to join one. I was doing it to make friends and ease the transition into college. As the week progressed, no chapter seemed to stand out as my favorite, but one did stand out: AOII. Every day I went in the Pi House, I felt so comfortable and at home. I didn't have to think about what to say or how to look. It felt like a place that I could spend all of my days. I still wasn't sure, because I didn't have that "Say Yes to the Dress" feeling the other girls felt. Then, on Preference Day, I met Paige Simmons. I don't remember all that we talked about, but I knew one thing: I wanted to be that girl's sister. My dad's passing had come up in conversation, and she made me feel okay to cry and let it out, even though I had just met her. When I got AOII on my bid card the next day, I couldn't wait to go meet more wonderful people like Paige. Thank you Paige, for accepting me in my best and worst times, and being the reason I found my home!
