Sarah Jo is an upcoming senior from Jacksonville, Al. She serves as our chapter's Vice President of Standards.
Like many people who go to college from out of state, Sarah Jo decided that going through recruitment would be a good way to meet people and get involved on campus. When she stepped foot into the Pi House on the first day, she felt like she was at home. "I was completely welcome and I didn’t have to be someone that I wasn’t because they liked me for me," she said.
"AOII gave me a support system of people that are always there to motivate and encourage me," Sarah Jo said. This unending support helped her step more and more out of her comfort zone. "When you do that you are going to be able to experience new challenges and grow."
As far as her position, Sarah Jo wants to "make standards be seen as being positive rather than just negative."
We all know that Standards can be intimidating, but it's obvious Sarah Jo has the best interest of the chapter and its members in mind!
